President Chakwera to Face Parliament Over SONA Today

President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera will appear before Parliament today, Wednesday, February 26, 2025, to respond to questions regarding the State of the Nation Address (SONA) he delivered on February 14, 2025.
The Malawi leader is scheduled to be in Parliament by 2:00 PM, where he will answer five pre-submitted questions, followed by supplementary inquiries from Members of Parliament.
In addition to the questions, Dr. Chakwera will address general concerns raised during the SONA debate.
The session, conducted under Standing Order 70B and Section 89(3)(c) of the Constitution, provides an opportunity for MPs to engage with the President on pressing national matters.
