Alliance for Democracy (Aford) president Enock Chihana has confirmed that his convoy was attacked by unidentified assailants near Mchesi Township in Lilongwe today.
Chihana, who was returning from a funeral, has confirmed the attack and said four people were injured, and one vehicle was damaged in the attack.
The incident was later reported to Lilongwe Police Station, and Chihana claims that his team has identified the attackers and shared their details with authorities.
“We know who carried out this attack and have provided their details to the police. Regrettably, one officer was heard dismissing our report as ‘useless.’ Despite this, we trust the institution will handle the matter professionally and ensure justice is served,” said Chihana.
