Zambian Woman Raped in Livingstone Golf Course While on a Walk with Boyfriend

A 25-year-old woman has allegedly been raped in Livingstone, Southern province in Zambia.
The incident happened on Saturday, March 8, 2025, around 21:00 hours, in the Livingstone Golf Course area.
Southern Province Police Commanding Officer, Auxensio Daka has confirmed the incident, which happened while the woman was in the company of her boy-friend.
According to Daka, the couple was walking in the golf course when they met a man, who was clad in a grey uniform, and he told them that they were trespassing.
He said the stranger led them to a nearby bush, where he instructed the couple to completely undress, and he later whipped the woman’s boy-friend, before telling him to run off.
Daka said the man later whipped the woman before repeatedly raping her over a period of three hours.
The man later fled the scene together with personal belongings of the woman and her boy-friend.
