Veteran Malawian footballer Blessings Tembo has announced his retirement from professional football after an 18-year career.

Tembo, who started his journey in 2006, played for several clubs, including Silver Strikers, Civo, Mighty Wanderers, Kamuzu Barracks Youth, Bucks Pirates, and Blue Eagles, where he ended his career. His move to Mighty Wanderers was one of the most challenging transfers in his career.

The midfielder confirmed that he has hung up his boots and has now been appointed to the technical panel of Blue Eagles.

Reflecting on his career, Tembo said he had a long and fulfilling journey in football, and he believes he has achieved his dreams on the pitch.
