Lilongwe Man Arrested for Cultivating Cannabis Without a License

Police in Kanengo, Lilongwe, have arrested a 20-year-old man, Raphael Banda, for allegedly cultivating cannabis without the required legal documentation.

According to Kanengo Police Deputy Public Relations Officer, Linly Mwale Damson, Banda was growing the illicit crop at his home in Mutu Village within the city.

Upon conducting a search, police uprooted 105 cannabis plants from his residence.

Banda, who hails from Mutu Village under Traditional Authority Chitukula in Lilongwe, is expected to appear in court soon to answer charges related to unlawful cannabis cultivation.
