Government Seeks Answers Over U.S Visa Rejections

Government through the Ministry of Foreign has asked the U.S. Embassy to take an action over the high rejection rate of visa applications for government officials.

In a diplomatic note that face of Malawi has seen it has been noted that despite following all agreed procedures, many officials were being denied entry into the United States, affecting their ability to attend important duties abroad.

Led by diplomat Thoko Banda, the ministry expressed frustration at the lack of clear reasons behind the denials.

The note respectfully requested the U.S. Embassy to offer more clarity on the issue and reaffirmed Malawi’s commitment to diplomatic protocols.

Malawi expected fairness and transparency in its international relations.
