Scorchers’ Midfielder Faith Chinzimu Begins Trials with AS Roma in Italy

An 18-year-old Ascent Soccer starlet Faith Chinzimu is currently in Italy undergoing professional trials with Serie A giants AS Roma, following previous training placements at several Scandinavian clubs.
According to Ascent Soccer Academy Founder George Maguire, Roma had been closely monitoring Chinzimu’s development before extending an official invitation for trials.
“This shows that Malawi has exceptional talent, and with the right support and exposure from an early stage, our players can compete on the global stage,” said Maguire.
Before heading to Italy, Chinzimu also had trial stints with FC Nordsjælland in Denmark and Swedish UEFA Women’s Champions League side BK Häcken.
