Patricia Kaliati Appears in Court Over Alleged Assassination Plot Against President Chakwera

Patricia Kaliati, political advisor to UTM President, has arrived at the Chief Resident Magistrate Court in Lilongwe today for a high-profile hearing.
Kaliati, who is currently out on bail, had previously pleaded not guilty on April 8 in a case where she stands accused of conspiring to assassinate President Lazarus Chakwera.
The State has announced plans to present 15 witnesses to testify in the case, which has drawn significant public and media attention.
Kaliati was first arrested in October last year following allegations of involvement in a plot against the Malawian president. The case continues to unfold as legal proceedings advance.
