Court Adjourns Chisale’s Case until Tomorrow

The High court in Lilongwe which is handling economic case involving  involving former president body guard known as Norman Chisale, has temporarily suspended the case until tomorrow the 9th of May 2025.

Today, the state was expected to start hearing from the two witnesses but this could not processed as the suspect filed a request.

Gilbert Khonyowa who is lawyer for Chisale asked the court to adjourn the case in order to allow his client to attend the function that he has been invited as DPP  youth director  where they want to discuss on how to address issues of political violence.

Khonyowa said the event has been organized by Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC), Malawi Police  and also Malawi Defense Force (MDF) and they have invited representatives from all political parties.

Judge Violet Chipao granted permission to the suspect and adjourns the case until Friday morning.
