MEC Launches Voters Verification Exercise in Salima

The Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) has today 13th of May 2025 started the voters verification exercise in Salima, where registered voters are encouraged to confirm their details in preparation for September 16 general elections.
Commissioner Emmanuel Fabiano is the one monitoring the exercise in Salima at Kasiyasiya and Khombedza registration Centers.
The initiative marks the first phase of voters verification exercise covering 13 councils including Karonga, Karonga town, Mzuzu city, Nkhotakota, Salima, Ntchisi, Dedza, Neno, Mulanje, Phalombe, Chiradzulo, Balaka and Machinga.
Therefore MEC is calling all eligible voters to visit their respective registration center to verify their names and information on the voters roll as part of the ongoing national verification process.
