Umunthu Plus Donates Equipments to Nkhotakota Police and District Hospital

Communities from Nkhotakota are expected to benefit from improved healthy and security services following the donation that Umunthu plus organisation has made to Nkhotakota district hospital and police station.

The organisation  with the help of crossroads foundation, made  a donation of essential equipment worthy K8 million on 12 May  which includes computers, cameras, beds, aprons, mattresses and bandages.

Lumbani Mgula organization’s monitoring and evaluation officer for umunthu plus, said the donation will help to simplify work for the police service and also helps healthcare  services to take good care for their patients.

Nkhotakota police officer in charge, Violet Kamwendo together with the District Hospital Director, Dr. Jacob Kafulafula welcomed the donation by saying that it will help to meet the needs of the hospital and the police.

The  organisation is also planning to work hand in hand with  Tilitonse foundation   inorder to build  a victim support shelter at the police station.
