
Mzuzu Rains Leave Residents Homeless

Persistent rainfall in Mzuzu has left residents from eight wards homeless after their houses collapsed.
Mzuzu City Disaster Risk Management Officer, Macdonald Gondwe, confirmed the incident, stating that assessments are underway to determine the extent of the damage.
Affected areas include Nsongwe, Saulsberry Line, Masasa, Chibavi, Zolozolo, Chiputula, and Mzilawaingwe, among others.
Innocent Chilunga, Chairperson of the Nsongwe Ward Development Committee, reported that approximately 15 houses were destroyed, leaving many residents in dire need of assistance.
