Head Coach of Blue Eagles Football Club, Elia Kananji, has stepped down from his role.

Club’s General Secretary Muhammad Ali  has confirmed the development as said that Kananji submitted his resignation letter today, citing personal reasons for his decision.

Kananji, who was instrumental in helping the team return to the top-flight league this season, has not yet publicly commented on his departure.

The club’s management, based at Area 30, has not issued any official statement on whether they accept or reject Kananji’s resignation.

Kananji’s resignation comes just a day after Creck Sporting Club sacked their head coach Joseph Kamwendo, along with his assistants Abel Mkandawire and Chiukepo Msowoya, over poor performance.
