Police Confirm Night Attacks in Area 25, Several Victims Reported

Police in Kanengo have confirmed a string of violent night-time attacks in Area 25, where criminals have been targeting residents—claiming lives and stealing phones and money.

The confirmation follows a series of serious incidents. Most recently, a man identified as Brian Thondoya was attacked and killed by robbers on his way home on Saturday night. Just last week, the same group of criminals reportedly attacked and killed a local chief from Sector 6, taking his phone and other belongings. On that same night, another person was injured during an attempted robbery.

Musician Jamison Chimkonde, popularly known as Jamzee, was also a victim. He was attacked by three men who stole his phone. Fortunately, with the help of nearby residents, one of the suspects was apprehended and handed over to the police.

According to Kanengo Police spokesperson Gresham Mgwira, two suspects have so far been arrested, and investigations are still ongoing.
