
Nsanje Police Arrest Form 2 Student for Alleged Defilement of Minor

Police in Nsanje have arrested an 18-year-old Form Two student from Nyamadzere Community Day Secondary School (CDSS) for allegedly defiling a 15-year-old girl.
Nsanje Police Spokesperson Agnes Zalakoma confirmed the arrest, and identified the suspect as Princewell Zambasa.
According to Zalakoma, Princewell committed the offence at Mtowe bus depot before taking her to the airport grounds where the alleged crime occurred around 7pm on Tuesday.
“medical examinations had corroborated the defilement claims. “The suspect took advantage of the girl at a bus stop before leading her to the airport area where he defiled her,” Zalakoma said.
The case has sparked outrage in the community, with local leaders expressing concern over rising defilement cases in the district. The suspect remains in custody awaiting court proceedings while the victim receives psychosocial support.
Princewell Zambasa hails from John Village under Senior Chief Malemia in the district.
