Kaonga Offers 1 billion Scholarship to Students in Karonga

Peples’s Party Vice President and Karonga South Shadow MP, Duncain Kaonga, has offered a K1 billion scholarship to less previledged students in Chilumba, Karonga district.
According to Kaonga total of of 5o poor students, 25 girls and 25 boys will benefit from the program , their fees and other learning costs will be fully covered when they start in September at Maranatha Academy.
Group Village Headman Kamtenthenga welcomed the Scholarship program saying the initiative is going to have a big impact in their area and they will benefit alot from it.
He said this support will help to change the future of the community by producing more educated young people.
Meanwhile, Kaonga also helped to pay K460,OOO in fees for two needy students at Chilumba Secondary school as he believe that helping student is one way to invest in the future of the country.
