Tanzanian Truck Driver Arrested For Allegedly Raping Malawian Businesswoman

Nkhunga Police have arrested Twaha Said Salimu, a 46-year-old Tanzanian truck driver, for allegedly raping a 31-year-old Malawian businesswoman.
According to police, the victim boarded the truck in Mzuzu on her way to Neno. But in Dwangwa, the driver stopped, locked the doors, and allegedly assaulted her.
She later managed to escape and reported the matter to police. Officers at Liwalazi roadblock quickly intercepted the truck and arrested the suspect.
He is in custody and will appear in court once investigations are done.
Salimu hails from Kilimanjaro, Tanzania.
