Zambian Young Soldier ‘Thobwa’ Found Dead at Mansa Farm

The Zambia Army and the nation at large are mourning the untimely death of Private Tobias Kabo, widely known as “Thobwa”, who was recently discovered dead at a farm in Mansa. He had only recently graduated and was beginning his service within the Zambia Electrical Mechanical Engineering (ZEME) unit.

The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, and authorities are yet to release further details as investigations continue.

Private Kabo was part of Intake 37/2023 and had completed his regimentation at the 4 Infantry Battalion, where he was regarded as a disciplined and promising young soldier.

The Commander of the Zambia Army, Lieutenant General Geoffrey Choongo Zyeele, has extended heartfelt condolences to the Kabo family, urging them to find strength in faith during this painful time.
