Police Arrest 16 Illegal Immigrants from DRC in Mzuzu

Police in Mzuzu have arrested 16 immigrants from the Democratic Republic of Congo( DRC) for allegedly entering the country illegally.
Mzuzu Police Deputy spokesperson, Cecilia Mfune, says 14 of them are male while two are female and eight are minors.
The suspects were arrested at a lodge in Chibanja area within the city where they were hiding.
The immigrants have been handed over to Malawi’s Department of Immigration and Citizenship Services.
