Teyana Taylor Scores Millions in Divorce from Former NBA Star Iman Shumpert

American actress, singer, and entrepreneur Teyana Taylor and former NBA star Iman Shumpert are finalising their divorce after eight years of marriage and the multi-million dollar settlement is turning heads.
Taylor is walking away with a significant portion of the couple’s assets. She will retain ownership of four luxury properties worth over $10 million and receive a one-time seven-figure payout. The divorce settlement also grants her several luxury vehicles, including a $300,000 Maybach, a $70,000 Mercedes Sprinter, and a private tour bus. Taylor will also keep full control of her growing business empire.
On the co-parenting front, Shumpert will pay $8,000 monthly in child support for their daughters, Iman Tayla “Junie” Shumpert Jr. and Rue Rose Shumpert. He will also cover their private school tuition.
Taylor first revealed their separation in 2023 and was quick to clarify that infidelity was not the cause. “To be 1000 percent clear, ‘infidelity’ ain’t one of the reasons for our departure,” she said at the time. “We are still the best of friends, great business partners, and one hell of a team when it comes to co-parenting our two beautiful children.”
Despite the split, Taylor seems to be moving forward. She recently sparked dating rumors after attending the 2025 Oscars with British actor Aaron Pierre. A black-and-white photo set she posted on Instagram, captioned “Oscar night in black and white, no grey area,” only added fuel to the speculation, though neither party has confirmed a relationship.
Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert married in 2016 and quickly became a Gen Z power couple, known for blending their talents in music, fashion, and sports. They co-starred in the VH1 reality series Teyana & Iman from 2020 to 2023, showcasing their family life and creative ventures.
Now, as Taylor enters a new chapter both personally and professionally, she continues to thrive reminding the world that she’s more than a headline, she’s a powerhouse and her role in Tyler Perry’s recent movie Straw where she played Detective Raymond, is now receiving more praise.
