Gunmen Kill Businessman in Chileka

Information reaching this publication indicates that gunmen have shot and killed Omar Mbeta, a well-known businessman in the Chatha area of Chileka, Blantyre District.
According to Chileka Police spokesperson Jonathan Phillipo, Mbeta—owner of Mbeta Hardware—was gunned down on Friday evening as he was leaving his business premises.
Phillipo stated that police are currently investigating the incident and will provide further details as inquiries progress.
The killing has sparked fear and panic among traders and residents in the Chileka area, many of whom are calling for increased security presence.
