NEEF Donates Irrigation Farming Equipment Worthy K60 Million To Lilongwe Farmers

The National Economic Empowerment Fund (NEEF) has donated irrigation farming equipment worthy K60 million to farmers in Chombwe Village under Senior Chief Masambankhunda and M’niwu Village under Senior Chief Kalolo in Lilongwe District.
NEEF Chief Executive Officer Humphreys Mdyetseni, said the donation is part of the organisation’s efforts to ensure food security among Malawians.
Mdyetseni emphasized that supporting farmers with modern farming tools and inputs is a key to achieving this goal.
The loan package that farmers have received includes 200 kilograms of maize seed, 840 kilograms of beans, 50 bags of fertilizer and other farming materials.
Group Village Head Chombwe expressed gratitude, saying the support will boost farming activities in their area.
The donation is expected to help farmers to improve in farming and ensure food security in the country.
