NIGERIA – The Edumoga Youth Association (EYA) has called for a thorough investigation into the murder of Miss Aladi Offikwu Johnson, popularly known as Tessy.
Tessy, a native of Olaidu in Edumoga, Okpokwu LGA of Benue State, was found dead with her hands tied in a hotel room in Gwarinpa, Abuja, on June 16, 2025.
EYA National President, Alhaji Lucky Itodo, condemned the killing and demanded that the perpetrator be brought to justice.
According to reports, Tessy had checked into the hotel with an unidentified man who later left the premises alone.
She was discovered unconscious during a routine check by hotel staff and was confirmed dead shortly afterward.
Itodo described the incident as a cruel act, highlighting growing concerns over the safety of young women in Abuja.
He warned against the dangers of hookup culture and urged young women to be cautious when meeting strangers.
The association also called on authorities, community leaders, and the public to support justice efforts and offered condolences to Tessy’s family.
