FAM Slaps Creck Sporting with Fines and Bans Gabeya, Wali & Chaomba For Assaulting Bullets Player

The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has taken disciplinary action against Creck Sporting Club and three of its players for violent conduct during the Airtel Top 8 match against FCB Nyasa Big Bullets in Lilongwe.
FAM found Miracle Gabeya, Hadji Wali, and George Chaomba guilty of assaulting Bullets players in a series of off-the-ball incidents. The disciplinary sanctions are as follows:
George Chaomba, has received a two-match ban across all competitions, effective immediately. He was found guilty of elbowing Bullets midfielder Henry Chiwaya in an off-ball incident.
Hadji Wali, has been handed a four-match ban, also effective immediately. He stepped on the hand and leg of Maxwell Phodo while the player was on the ground.
Miracle Gabeya, haces a three-match ban for stepping on the hand of Babatunde Adepoju in another off-the-ball incident.
In addition to the individual player sanctions, Creck Sporting Club has been fined K1 million for failing to prevent the violent conduct of its players. FAM cited violations of Articles 23.3 and 23.4 of the 2025 Airtel Top 8 Rules and Regulations, along with Article 14.1(l) of the FIFA Disciplinary Code.
FAM has emphasized that such conduct undermines the spirit of fair play and professionalism in Malawi football and warned clubs to uphold discipline and protect the integrity of the game.
