Police Gather at Lilongwe Centre Ahead of CEC Protest

A large number of police officers have arrived at Lilongwe Community Centre, where the group Citizens for Credible Elections (CEC) is expected to hold a protest.
The group wants Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) Chairperson Annabel Mtalimanja to step down from her position.
So far, only a few people have shown up at the protest.
CEC has been holding protests in big cities across Malawi, asking the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) to stop using the new Smartmatic voting system in the September 16 elections.
