Father Arrested for Allegedly Defiling His One-Year-Old Daughter in Neno

Police at Zalewa in Neno District have arrested a 24-year-old man, Christopher Lameck, on suspicion that he has been defiling his one-year-old biological daughter.
Neno Police Public Relations Officer, Rebecca Msoliza, has confirmed the arrest and said that the matter came to light after the child’s mother noticed traces of semen in the baby’s diapers on several occasions since May this year.
“Upon noticing these signs, the mother confronted Lameck and also reported the matter to her own mother. Medical examinations conducted at Lisungwi Health Centre later revealed that the baby had swelling in her private parts, which raised further suspicion and led to Lameck’s arrest,” Msoliza said.
The suspect is expected to appear in court soon to answer charges related to defilement.
Christopher Lameck hails from Kadzamedi Village, under Senior Chief Symon in Neno District.
