Cha Cha Files New Injunction Against Tamia Ja in Defamation Row

Popular socialite Chawezi Banda, also known as Cha-Cha, has filed a fresh injunction against Hannah Jabesi, popularly known as Tamia Ja, barring her from making defamatory statements against Banda on social media platforms.
The development follows a recent court ruling that dismissed Cha-Cha’s earlier application for an injunction due to procedural irregularities.
The court rejected the previous request on the grounds that Cha-Cha had served the injunction through WhatsApp and had also submitted sworn statements via the same platform, which the court deemed improper.
Tamia Ja’s lawyer, Stanley Chirwa, confirmed the filing of the new injunction, adding that the matter is now scheduled to return to court this Friday, 18 July 2025, for further proceedings.
The case has drawn widespread attention from social media users, with both parties having significant online followings and it has been noted that Cha Cha has deactivated her Facebook page.
