Zeze, on the other hand, was mocked for his financial instability and style, with some even labeling him a “male prostitute” out to benefit from her wealth.

“People said he wasn’t good enough, that he wore the same black shoes all the time, and had no fashion sense. But we chose to focus on our love and ignore the negativity. Our motto became ‘hear no evil, see no evil,’” she wrote.

Despite the backlash, the couple stood by each other and worked through their challenges as a team. Cashie credited their growth to mutual support, stating that their strengths have helped cover each other’s weaknesses.

“I’ve become the wife I always wanted to be, and he’s become the partner I always dreamed of,” she added.

She also quoted a friend, Tonderai, who once said “relationships are an investment”, emphasizing how their love has transformed them both.

“My husband always tells me that if I hadn’t come into his life, he wouldn’t be the man he is today. And I can say the same. We’ve built each other.”

The couple, who got engaged on December 17, 2023, continue to inspire others with their message that love isn’t about finding perfection, but about building it together.
