ACB Arrests Former Nsanje Health HR Officer ‘Lufai Nachamba’

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested Lufai Nachamba, the former Human Resource Officer at the Nsanje District Health Office, on allegations of abuse of office.
Nsanje Police publicist, Sub-Inspector Agnes Zalakoma, confirmed that Nachamba was taken into custody yesterday and is currently held at Nsanje Police Station. He is expected to appear in court this morning.
This is not Nachamba’s first encounter with the law; in 2021, he was previously arrested over allegations of irregular recruitment after reportedly hiring three health surveillance assistants without following proper procedures.
The ACB continues to intensify its efforts to tackle corruption in public offices across Malawi.
