Bushiri Couple Back in Court for Extradition Hearing in Lilongwe

Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife, Mary Bushiri, have arrived at the Lilongwe High Court today as proceedings resume in their long-running extradition case.
The couple is wanted in South Africa on charges including fraud, theft, and money laundering. The case, which has faced several delays, was last in court on June 12, when the hearing of oral arguments from both the defense and prosecution failed to proceed.
Today’s session is expected to focus on submissions from both sides as the court considers whether to extradite the couple.
