Hip-Hop Artist Toast Drops Deeply Personal Debut Album “Files”

Celebrated Malawian hip-hop artist Gomezgani Kambwiri popularly known as Toast has today on 18 July 2025, released his highly anticipated debut album titled Files, a project that promises to resonate with fans on a profound level.
The 18-track body of work features collaborations with notable artists including Kim of Diamonds, Sean Morgan, and Viddix.
Speaking about the album, Toast said Files is more than just music it’s a reflection of his life’s journey.
“Every track is a chapter, every lyric is a scar or a prayer. Files is about everything I have lived through loss, healing, doubt, growth, and the quiet moments that shaped me,” he shared.
The album explores themes of vulnerability, resilience, and transformation, painting a compelling portrait of an artist who has navigated pain and emerged stronger.
Toast first gained recognition as part of the Street Fame duo with his breakout single Gold Chain, which captured audiences with its raw emotion and poetic storytelling.
