Six Arrested in Machinga Over Two Separate Murder and Robbery Cases

Police in Machinga have arrested six men in connection with two separate murder and robbery incidents.
The suspects allegedly killed two people, Geoffrey James, 36, and Linly Mpata, 80, in December 2024 and July 2025, respectively.
The suspects, who include Charles Square, Laston Kamandani, Francis Chiponda, Wyson Kendulo, Macdonald Mpunga, and a 15-year-old boy, were arrested between July 12 and 20, 2025.
The suspects are expected to appear before court soon.
