Man to spend 14 years in jail for having sexual intercourse with one year old biological daughter in Neno

The Neno first grade magistrate court has sentenced a 24-year-old man Christopher Lameck to 14 years imprisonment with hard labour for having sexual intercourse with his one year old biological daughter.
The court heard through the State Prosecutor Inspector Levison Musote that during the month of May 2025, the convict was caught by his wife kissing the baby’s breast and on other two separate occasions, the wife found semen on the private parts of the girl after leaving her in custody of her father when she went out on errands.
Upon seeing this, she became tired with her husband’s behavior and confronted him before reporting to her mother in-law and the Police.
The baby was then taken to Lisungwi Community Hospital for examination and results showed swelling of hymen and lacerations leading to his arrest.
Appearing before court, Lameck pleaded not guilty to the charge of having sexual intercourse with a minor a development that prompted the state to parade 4 witness leading to his conviction after the state proved the case beyond reasonable doubt.
Passing sentence, First Grade Magistrate Magret Khobidi concurred with the state and sentenced Christopher Lameck to 14 years imprisonment with hard labour
Christopher lameck comes from Kadzamedi village, Traditional Authority Symon in Neno district.
