Malawian midfielder Chimwemwe Idana joined Zanaco FC from Silver Strikers on July 7, 2025, in a transfer whose financial details had initially been kept under wraps.

However, fresh findings by Wa Ganyu have now revealed key figures behind the deal.

According to Wa Ganyu’s Facebook post, it has been noted that Silver Strikers will receive approximately K52 million from the Zambian club. The amount will be paid in three instalments, and as of July 21, the Lilongwe-based side is yet to receive the first payment.

Idana has signed a two-year contract with Zambian Zanaco FC, and his new deal reportedly includes a USD 100,000 buyout clause. This means any club that may wish to secure his services from Zanaco would need to meet that valuation.

In terms of salary, Idana is expected to receive about K4 million per month, though sources indicate his net salary will be around K3.5 million after deductions.

On July 8, a Silver Strikers official had confirmed the move but declined to disclose the financials, responding only with: “Undisclosed.”
