Kabambe Names Dr. Mathews Mtumbuka as Running Mate

United Transformation Movement (UTM) presidential candidate Dr. Dalitso Kabambe has chosen Dr. Mathews Mtumbuka as his running mate for the upcoming elections.
Kabambe arrived at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC), where the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) was receiving nomination papers, in an excavator alongside Engineer Newton Kambala, surprising many supporters.
At first, people thought Kambala would be the running mate, but Kabambe announced Mtumbuka instead.
The crowd cheered loudly, and Kambala hugged Mtumbuka to show his support.
In his speech, Kabambe said Malawi is rich in resources but remains poor because of corruption and bad leadership.
Kabambe promised to fix key areas like farming, mining, health, and education to help the country grow.
On his part, Mtumbuka said he will work with Kabambe as a team to bring real change to Malawi.
Today, MEC is expected to continue receiving nominations from various candidates aiming for the presidential seat in the upcoming elections.
