Neno Police Hunt Killers of Kabaza Operator in Brutal Night Attack

Police in Neno district have launched a manhunt for unknown criminals who have murdered a kabaza operator .

According to Neno police public relations officer Rebecca Msoliza , Alex was operating kabaza at Neno turn off and on the night of August 7, 2025, he was hired by two unknown people to drop them at Chigona Trading Center.

Msoliza says, as they were passing by the railway line, the suspects sprayed him pepper in the face before hacking him several times on the head and robbed him Lifan motorcycle, leaving him unconscious and in a pool of blood.

He was discovered the following morning by passers-by who informed the Group Village headman of the area, who later reported the issue to Police.

Police found powdered pepper at the scene proving that he was first sprayed pepper before hacking him.

Postmortem conducted at Ligowe Health Center revealed that death was due to severe loss of blood as a result of deep cut wounds.
