US-Based Malawian Socialite Chacha Breaks Silence on Chris Loka Wedding Drama

Malawian socialite Chawezi Banda, better known as Chacha, has finally addressed rumours surrounding her relationship with her former manager, Chris Loka, after she was noticeably absent from his wedding.

Chacha, who was once managed by Loka in her philanthropic ventures, sparked social media gossip after skipping the ceremony. Some netizens went as far as claiming she was unhappy about Loka’s marriage because the two allegedly had a romantic business.

Speaking out, Chacha dismissed the speculation, explaining that her absence was due to logistical issues.

“It was hard for me to travel to Malawi quickly because I was waiting for my grandson so we could come together,” she said.

She also revealed that instead of attending, she sent Chris K1 million as a wedding gift, while also giving Shammah Vocals K1.8 million for separate support.

“The truth is, I didn’t go to the wedding, but I sent K1 million. To another artist, I gave K1.8 million. These lies are too much,” Chacha fired back. “I will explain everything in detail , I have the evidence.”

The outspoken socialite further accused Loka of allegedly instructing people to tarnish her name online because she skipped the wedding.

“He can’t tell Malawians the truth because he’s angry I didn’t go. He’s getting K1 million from me while another person, who I don’t even know well, I gave K1.8 million. So Malawians should insult me? Punishment for me? That’s a lie,” she said.

As for Loka, he has remained silent on the matter, choosing instead to focus on promoting his businesses rather than addressing the allegations.
