Two Killed in Road Accident on Lilongwe-Salima Road

Two people were killed after a vehicle hit them on the Lilongwe–Salima road yesterday evening.
Dowa Police spokesperson, Sub-Inspector Alice Sitima, identified the victims as Pitros Dalikeni, 72, and Gerald Pitros, 27, both from Chisenga Village in the Mkukula Chiefdom area of Dowa District.
According to Sitima, the vehicle was heading towards Salima and, upon reaching Mzinga Village, it collided with a motorbike while attempting to overtake.
She said the two motorbike passengers sustained severe head injuries, while the motorbike driver suffered knee injuries.
Dalikeni and Pitros died while receiving treatment at Chankhungu Rural Hospital in the district.
