Information reaching this publication indicates that Mzuzu City Council workers are staging a sit-in to protest the reduction of the council’s pension contribution to Nico Life Insurance from 25 to 10 percent.
Workers’ representative Typen Kamanga says they are also demanding a 10 percent salary increase and the return of a council vehicle still being used by former mayor Kondwani Nyasulu.
