AFORD Parliamentary Candidate David Katete Injured in Road Crash

David Brown Katete, the shadow Member of Parliament for Nkhata Bay-Mpamba constituency under the Alliance for Democracy (AFORD), was involved in a road accident near Luwazi last night.

According to a family member, Sheminah Aisha Banda, the accident occurred as Katete was travelling from Nkhata Bay to Mzuzu.

He was first taken to Nkhata Bay District Hospital before being referred to Mzuzu Central Hospital for further treatment, having reportedly sustained injuries on his arm and leg.

Nkhatabay Police deputy public relations officer, Devoter Mithi, said officers are investigating the matter.
