Zeze Kingston Drops New Song ‘Taima’ Amid Malawi Vote-Counting Frenzy

While the nation’s focus remains on vote counting after the September 16 polls, Malawian amapiano star Zeze Kingston has surprised fans with the release of his brand-new single Taima.
Zeze announced yesterday that both the audio and video would drop today at 8AM making him one of the few artists daring to release new music during this tense week when most entertainers have remained silent.
The song Taima tells the story of a man asking a lady to pause so he can propose to be her boyfriend. Its official video, shot by KPaul at Dzaleka Refugee Camp in Dowa, premiered just an hour ago and has already gained over 4,000 views on YouTube, with numbers rising fast.
When one fan teased him in the comments, saying “Iwe tikuvera ma unofficial results,” Zeze cheekily replied: “Mukazamaliza muzaipeza. Link ndiyomweyo.”
