Joyce Banda Congratulates Peter Mutharika Ahead of Official Election Results

Former President Dr. Joyce Banda has extended her best wishes to Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) leader Peter Mutharika and his party for their apparent victory in this year’s elections, even though the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) has yet to officially announce the results.

In a letter released to the public, the former president expressed her commitment to supporting Mutharika in advancing the country’s development.

Banda also praised Malawians for remaining calm and peaceful throughout the election process.
