The Road Safety Alert Foundation (ROSAF) has warned Malawians to avoid reckless behavior while celebrating the victory of their preferred presidential candidate.

Speaking on behalf of the organization, ROSAF leader Joel Jere emphasized the importance of preventing activities that could lead to road accidents when election results are announced, regardless of whether one’s favored candidate wins or loses.

Jere noted that many people rush onto the streets in celebration when their candidate is declared the winner, often creating dangerous situations.

The foundation urged citizens to celebrate responsibly and avoid excessive street gatherings, reminding the public that while elections come and go, life is irreplaceable.

ROSAF also warned motorists not to drive under the influence of alcohol, as this significantly increases the risk of road accidents.
