A young woman, Terkula Alukwase Fidelia, has gone viral online after announcing the cancellation of her wedding just days before the planned ceremony.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, Fidelia revealed that she caught her fiancé having an affair with her best friend, a discovery that devastated her and led to the sudden decision.
The bride-to-be had earlier shared joyful pre-wedding photos with the caption: “I found love again. Save the date 04/10/2025.”
However, the celebrations quickly turned to shock when she reportedly found her fiancé in a compromising situation. Despite the plans and expenses already made, she chose to cancel the wedding and prioritize her peace. In her own words, Fidelia wrote: “Wedding Cancelled!! Today was meant to be my wedding day, but instead, I stand here making a different announcement. I just discovered that my ex-fiancé has been sleeping with my best friend. This betrayal cuts deeper than words can explain, and it’s a red flag I cannot overlook. I choose not to settle for lies. I choose to leave in order to live!”
Her bold move has received widespread support online, with many commending her strength and self-respect.
