Jane Ansah Warns Public Against Fake Facebook Pages

Malawi’s Vice President, Justice Dr. Jane Ansah, SC, has distanced herself from several fake Facebook pages that are falsely claiming to represent her and publishing misleading content.
In a statement from her office, the Vice President said: “We have been made aware of Facebook pages falsely claiming to represent Vice President Justice Dr Jane Ansah, SC, and publishing misleading content. These pages are not official and should be disregarded.”
She confirmed that the matter has been reported to Meta for further action. “We have reported the impersonation to Meta and we ask the public to report such pages as ‘Impersonation’ and avoid sharing their posts,” the statement added.
Dr. Ansah emphasized that while she maintains a presence on social media, it is only through the verified pages she used during the recent general elections campaign.
“The Vice President still maintains a social media presence on the pages that she was using during the campaign,” she added.
