Gunmen on the Run After Sh00ting Incident in Neno

Police in Neno are hunting for unknown assailants suspected of shooting a 24-year-old man, Louis Dickson, on the night of October 11, 2025.

According to Neno Police spokesperson Sergeant Rebecca Msoliza, the incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. after Louis and his brother had gone to Chifunga Market to buy maize.

While on their way back home, the two reportedly met a group of people carrying torches. When Louis complained that they were flashing the lights directly into his eyes, an argument broke out between them.

During the confrontation, one of the suspects allegedly shot Louis near the nose before fleeing the scene.

Hearing the gunshot, nearby residents rushed to the scene and helped take Louis to the hospital for medical treatment.

Police say investigations are underway to trace and arrest the suspects behind the attack.
