Jealous husband on run after hacking wife over Cheating Allegations, Police launch man hunt

Police in Chiradzulu are hunting for a 45-year-old man, Gift Sankhulani, who is suspected of seriously injuring his wife, Senzani Nazombe (47), following a jealousy-fueled argument.

According to Chiradzulu Police spokesperson Hubert Mwangoka, the incident occurred on October 9, 2025. Reports indicate that Nazombe had gone to a tailor, and on her way back, she happened to walk near another man. Although the two were not talking, her husband met them on the road.

Sankhulani reportedly greeted the pair, but only his wife responded, while the other man walked away without replying. The husband allegedly became suspicious that the two were romantically involved.

Later that day, after drinking alcohol, Sankhulani is said to have confronted his wife, and a heated argument ensued. During the quarrel, he allegedly struck her with a hoe on the arm and back before fleeing the scene.

Nazombe is currently receiving medical treatment at Chiradzulu District Hospital, while police have launched a manhunt for the suspect.
