Former Mangochi MP Victoria Kingston Arrested Over Alleged Murder Plot

Former Member of Parliament for Mangochi Central, Victoria Kingston, has been arrested alongside three other Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) officials for allegedly plotting to kill newly elected MP Roza Fatch Mbilizi.
Mbilizi won the Mangochi Central seat in the general elections held on September 16.
Mangochi Police spokesperson Amina Daudi confirmed the arrest of Kingston and the three others on Tuesday night, stating that the matter is now being handled at the national level.
“It is true that Madam Kingston is in custody with other DPP constituency leaders,” Daudi said.
Among those arrested are Sanudi Sande and Asiatu Amani, both officials in the DPP’s Mangochi Central Constituency.
Further details surrounding the alleged plot have not yet been disclosed as investigations continue.
