Information reaching this publication indicates that six people have been rushed to Ntcheu General Hospital following a serious three-vehicle accident at Kampepuza.

The accident involved a truck carrying cement bags, a Ford Ranger, and an Isuzu, reportedly coming from the direction of Ntcheu Boma.

Reports indicate that  the truck first collided with the Ford Ranger before hitting the Isuzu, and later overturned, trapping several people inside.

Bystanders at the scene are working alongside police to rescue those believed to be trapped under the overturned truck, although the exact number remains unknown.

Unconfirmed reports suggest the truck may have run out of fuel before losing control and crashing near Kampepuza Market.

Police, led by Ntcheu District Police Chief Elijah Mlowoka, have arrived at the scene and are actively involved in the rescue operation.

The driver of the truck is among those already taken to the hospital for treatment, along with other injured victims.

Due to the severity of the crash and the weight of the cement cargo, efforts to remove the trapped individuals have proven extremely difficult, and authorities are yet to issue an official statement.
