Man Arrested For Defiling 3-Year-Old Girl Child in Phalombe

Police in Phalombe are keeping in custody a 54-year old man, Fanuel Nyambalo, from Phulanya Village, Traditional Authority Ndanga in Mulanje District, for having sexual intercourse with a 3-year old girl child.
According to public relations officer for Phalombe police, Jimmy Kapanja, said the victim met with her fate on October 15, 2025, at Phulanya Village, when victim went to her friend to play.
He further said that On October 16, 2025, victim’s mother noted something strange from her daughter’s private parts. In her observation she saw semens coming from victim’s private parts and that her private parts was not normal.
When asked what actually happened to her, she disclosed that she was defiled by Nyambalo.
Therefore she rushed her to Rev. John Chilembwe Hospital for both examination and treatment. And Medical report results revealed positive.
Meanwhile, the suspect is still in police custody soon will appear in court to answer the charges of having sexual intercourse.
